Joe Crede delivered the game winning hit that gave the Chicago White Sox a 7-6 victory over the New York Yankees on Thursday night.  Crede singled to center field off Joba Chamberlain in the bottom of the ninth inning that scored Carlos Quentin from second base.

Besides Crede’s one RBI, six other White Sox hitters contributed with an RBI each.  Jim Thome, Paul Konerko, Jermaine Dye, A.J. Pierzynski, Alexei Ramirez, and Quentin all had a RBI in the game.  Thome’s RBI came on a solo home run in the fifth inning.

Bobby Jenks picked up the win for the White Sox as he recorded the final two outs in the ninth inning.  Gavin Floyd had started for the White Sox and pitched six innings as he gave up five hits and five runs.  Floyd struckout four batters but also walked four batters.  Matt Thornton was the only White Sox relief pitcher to give up a run in the game.
