The Chicago White Sox have traded relief pitcher David Aardsma to the Boston Red Sox in exchange for a couple of minor league pitchers. I don’t think Aardsma had much a future with the White Sox and they figured it was worth the risk to trade him to the Red Sox for two younger pitchers.
Willy Moto who is a converted outfielder and Miguel Socolovich will be coming over to the White Sox. Both players will be expected to contribute at the minor league level in 2008 but could possibly get a look at in spring training.
