The Chicago White Sox blew a 5-3 lead in the ninth inning as the Baltimore Orioles tied the game and then went onto win 6-5 in 10 innings.  Bobby Jenks blew the save in the ninth inning and then Boone Logan took the loss in the 10th inning.

Just a terrible way to end the game for the White Sox.  They spoiled a nice performance by Carlos Quentin and Joe Crede who both had two RBI.

The White Sox still have a 9-6 record.  Hopefully they will learn from this game, and learn close out their next close ball game.

John Danks picked up his first win in twelve starts as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Oakland Athletics on Tuesday afternoon by the score of 4-1.  Danks pitched 7.2 innings and only allowed five hits and two walks.  It was a very productive day for Danks and the White Sox.

Bobby Jenks picked up his fifth save of the season as he shut down the A’s in the 9th inning.

Carlos Quentin had the big shot for the White Sox when he hit a three-run home run in the 4th inning.  Joe Crede also recorded an RBI in the fifth inning when he singled to right-center field.

John Danks and Nick Masset both pitched terrible for the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night as the White Sox were beaten by the Minnesota Twins 12-5.  Danks was only able to pitch 2.1 innings and he gave up seven hits and seven earned runs.  Masset wasn’t much better as he lasted lasted 3.2 innings and gave up five more earned runs.

Anytime you get in a big hole like that, your team is more then likely going to lose.  The White Sox pitchers never gave the team a shot at winning.  Hopefully they will turn things around in the next game.

The White Sox did hit three solo homeruns in the game.  Nick Swisher, Paul Konerko, and Joe Crede all went yard.  The problem was, no one was on base so it really didn’t affect the outcome of the game.   Carlos Quentin and Pablo Ozuna each had an RBI as well in the game.

Joe Crede was the main man today in Chicago as he crushed a grand slam in the 7th inning that gave the Chicago White Sox a 7-3 lead and they went onto to win the game 7-4.

Besides Crede’s 4 RBI’s, Nick Swisher, Jim Thome, and Jermaine Dye all had one RBI each.

Javier Vasquez picked up the win for the White Sox.  Vasquez pitched seven innings, giving up seven hits, and three earned runs.  Bobby Jenks got the save, it was his fourth save of the season so far.

The White Sox record now stands at 5-2!

The Chicago White Sox have picked up their first win in the 2008 season as they defeated the Cleveland Indians 2-1 on Thursday afternoon.  The White Sox held the Indians to only two hits, the first coming in the 6th inning.

John Danks pitched a great game for the White Sox as he lasted 6.2 innings.  He did get the no decision however as Octavio Dotel picked up the win and Bobby Jenks picked up the save.  Great job by the pitching staff today.

It was two solo homeruns that scored the White Sox runs today.  Joe Crede and Juan Uribe both connected for solo shots.

The White Sox now travel to Detroit to take on the Tigers.  This will be a tough series for the White Sox, lets hope they can pick up atleast two wins in Detroit.

Joe Crede signed a one year contract with the Chicago White Sox on Thursday for $5.1 million dollars!  That is a nice little payday for Crede even though he could possibly get traded during spring training.  Will another team take on that contract is another question…

I would love for Crede to come out and have a great spring training and stay with the White Sox, but I just don’t know if that will happen.  There have been rumors about Crede being traded, but as of now he is a member of the White Sox, so we are hoping for the best with him.
