The Chicago White Sox evened up the three game series with the Texas Rangers with a 10-2 pounding on Tuesday night.  It was a great performance by the hitters and the pitchers in the game as they evened up the three game series at one game each.

Mark Buehrle improved to 8-8 on the season after he picked up the victory.  Buehrle tossed 7 1/3 innings as he gave up six hits and one run.  Great outing by Buehrle who finally picked up another win.  Nick Masset gave up three hits and one run in only one third of inning once he came in for Buehrle however.  Matt Thornton recorded one out and then Scott Linebrink pitched a scoreless ninth inning to finish off the Rangers in the 9th inning.

Alexei Ramirez hit a grand slam to lead the White Sox at the plate with four rbi.  Nick Swisher hit a three run home run to finish with three rbi while A.J. Pierzynski and Jermaine Dye both finished the game with one rbi each.  The two bombs by Ramirez and Swisher really propelled the Sox to the big victory.

So can the White Sox get a series victory on Wednesday afternoon?  Leave us a comment and let us know!

The Chicago White Sox suffered a 6-1 loss on Monday night to the Texas Rangers as they began a three game series on the South side.  Things weren’t too bad until the White Sox bullpen allowed four runs to score in the late innings.  The Sox offense just couldn’t get anything going to score that many runs and come back in the game.

Javier Vazquez threw the first seven innings of the game and only gave up four hits and three runs.  Vazques received the loss however and is now 7-8 on the season.  Boone Logan pitched a terrible eighth inning as he gave up four hits and three runs.  Nick Masset pitched a scoreless ninth for the Sox.

The only run the White Sox were able to come up with came in the fourth inning when Carlos Quentin hit a solo home run.  It was Quentin’s 24th home run of the season but it wasn’t even close to being enough for the Sox.

The Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals didn’t want to stop playing last night it seemed.  After going into extra innings, the White Sox scored two runs in the 11th inning by the Royals answered back with two runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning.  Finally the White Sox scored a run in the 13th inning and the Royals had no answer as the White Sox won 8-7.

Orlando Cabrera and a rbi double that scored Alexei Ramirez for the game winning run in the 13th inning.  In the 11th inning it was A.J Pierzynski who had a two run sac fly.  Yeah both runners scored on a sac fly!  Joe Crede, Nick Swisher, and Pierzynski all finished the game with two rbi each.  Paul Konerko and Cabrera both chipped in with one rbi each.

White Sox starting pitcher Jose Contreras pitched 5 2/3 innings as he gave up ten hits and five runs.  Contreras had some problems in the second and third innings which really hurt his performance.  The Royals scored three times in the second inning, and then another run in the third inning.  The Royals weren’t done with Contreras however as he was charged with another run in the sixth inning.

Scott Linebrink was the only White Sox relief pitcher that was charged with a run.  Linebrink gave up both runs in the bottom of the 11th inning when they Sox were trying to win the game.  Nick Masset ended up being the winner in the game is now 1-0.  Masset threw two scoreless innings of relief to get the win.

It was an up and down game for the Chicago White Sox as they got up by seven runs and then had to hold off the Cleveland Indians in the ninth inning for the 9-7 victory.  The Indians sure made things interesting in the ninth inning as they scored three runs.  Oh well, a win is a win and I was the White Sox continued to swing the bats good.

Nick Swisher hit two home runs and finished the game with five rbi for the White Sox.  Swisher has now hit 11 home runs in season.  Jim Thome also hit a home run which was a three run shot in the first inning.  Jermaine Dye didn’t want to be left out and also had one rbi in the game.  I like the fact that the White Sox were able to keep a lot of pressure on the Indians through out the game.  Anytime you do that, you are going to score a lot of runs and more then likely going to win.

Gavin Floyd tossed six innings and pitched well enough to get the win and improve his record to 9-4.  Floyd gave up seven hits and let four runs cross the plate while walking two and striking out ten batters.

Nick Masset was charged with three runs in the ninth inning other then that the bullpen did a pretty good job.    Octavio Dotel pitched one scoreless inning before Masset sucked it up in 1 2/3 innings of action.  Matt Thornton gave up one hit and let a run score (run was charged to Masset) before recording the final out of the game.

The Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers have now both one game in the their three game series.  It was the Dodgers shutting out the White Sox 5-0 on Wednesday night to pick up their first win of the series.  The White Sox were limited to four hits and also had three errors in the game.  Right there you can tell why they lost the game.

Gavin Floyd took the loss for the White Sox and is now 8-4 on the season.  Floyd gave up six hits five runs (four earned), two walks, and also struck out two batters.  Matt Thornton, Nick Masset, and Boone Logan pitched the final 2 2/3 innings without giving up a hit or run.

Alexei Ramirez had two hits while A.J. Pierzynski and Jermaine Dye both had one hit.  That was all the offense that the White Sox had in the game.   They will have to come out and swing the bat a lot better if they want to beat the Doders on Thursday and win this series.

The Chicago White Sox put on a show Tuesday night as they erupted for four home runs and scored 16 runs as they blew out the Pittsburgh Pirates 16-5.  It was a great showing my the White Sox offense as they kept pressure on the Pirates pitchers all night long and was able to score off all four of them.

Orlando Cabrera, Jermaine Dye, Jim Thome, and Joe Crede all had three rbi each in the game.  All four of those players had a home run in the game as well.  Alexei Ramirez finished the game with two rbi while Carlos Quentin and Nick Swisher finished with one rbi each.

Getting the win for the White Sox was Javier Vazquez who pitched six innings giving up five hits and five runs.  Vazquez didn’t have his best stuff working but it was good enough to improve his record to 7-5 on the season.  Octavio Dotel, Nick Masset, and Adam Russell all threw a scoreless inning of relief after Vazquez left the game.

Let’s see if the White Sox can keep the momentum going when they face off against the Pirates once again on Wednesday.

The Chicago White Sox are wishing that last nights game would have got rained out instead of being played as they got hammered by the Minnesota Twins by the score of 12-1.  The loss was Chicago’s seventh in eight games, and Mark Buehrle hasn’t won in more than a month.

Buehrle only lated 5 2/3 innings as he gave up nine hits and seven runs in the loss.  Buehrle got hit hard and often as he put the White Sox in a big hole early in the game.  Ehren Wassermann gave up five more runs and Nick Masset gave up one run as they pitched in relief for the White Sox.

The White Sox only run came in the ninth inning when Jermaine Dye connected on a solo home run off Livan Hernandez.  Other then that the White Sox were terrible at the plate.  The top of the lineup was a combined 0-9 in the game.

The Chicago White Sox lost another close game to the Minnesota Twins as they lost 4-3 on Wednesday afternoon.  The White Sox really need to get back on track after losing the last two games to the Twins.  The White Sox are now 14-12 on the season and if they don’t turn things around soon, thye are going to find themselves under .500 in my opinion.

Starting pitcher Nick Masset went four innings in the game and gave up five hits and three runs.  Masset got the no decision in the game.  Ehren Wassermann ended up pitching only .1 of an inning as he gave up the game winning run in the seventh inning to the Twins to take the loss.

Carlos Quentin had a solo home run in the fourth inning for the White Sox for their big hit on the day.  Jim Thome did get the Sox on the board first however with a RBI double in the first inning.  In the fifth inning, Nick Swisher picked up a RBI on a single to right field.

The White Sox will be off on Thursday and then will start a series with the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday.

John Danks and Nick Masset both pitched terrible for the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday night as the White Sox were beaten by the Minnesota Twins 12-5.  Danks was only able to pitch 2.1 innings and he gave up seven hits and seven earned runs.  Masset wasn’t much better as he lasted lasted 3.2 innings and gave up five more earned runs.

Anytime you get in a big hole like that, your team is more then likely going to lose.  The White Sox pitchers never gave the team a shot at winning.  Hopefully they will turn things around in the next game.

The White Sox did hit three solo homeruns in the game.  Nick Swisher, Paul Konerko, and Joe Crede all went yard.  The problem was, no one was on base so it really didn’t affect the outcome of the game.   Carlos Quentin and Pablo Ozuna each had an RBI as well in the game.
