Jim Thome singled in A.J. Pierzynski for the go ahead run in the top of the ninth inning as the Chicago White Sox defeated the Los Angeles Angels 4-3 to salvage a sweep in the series.  Thome delivered a single off of Angels closer Francisco Rodriquez.  Maybe this will get Thome out his slump that he has been in lately.

Three other White Sox batters had a rbi in the game besides Thome.  Orlando Cabrera, Juan Uribe, and Pierzynski all had a rbi at the plate.

Octavio Dotel ended up getting the win which improved his record to 2-2 on the season and Bobby Jenks recorded the save which was his eighth. Starting pitcher Javier Vazquez tossed 6 2/3 innings while allowing nine hits and three runs.

The White Sox will now begin a series with the San Francisco Giants.  White Sox Blog

Mark Buehrle was roughed up for ten hits and eight runs (six earned) on Monday night as the Chicago White Sox lost to the Los Angeles Angels by the score of 10-7.  Buehrle was only able to throw 5 2/3 innings before having to be taken out of the ballgame.  Buehrle is now 1-5 on the season.

Ehren Wassermann, Boone Logan, Octavio Dotel, and Matt Thornton all seen action out of the bullpen for the White Sox.  The bullpen did not allow a run to cross the plate, as they stopped the bleeding.  To bad they were already in a huge hole to try to come back from.

At the plate Juan Uribe and Joe Crede both had two rbi in the game.   Pablo Ozuna, A.J. Pierzynski, and Alexei Ramirez all had one rbi each to finish out the game.  Orlando Cabrera had a terrible game as he left seven guys on base and went 1-5.
