The Chicago White Sox absoltely dominated the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night. The game ended up ending with the White Sox on top with a 8-3 victory. It was a big win for the Sox as they Twins had won the first two of the four game series. Now the White Sox can win on Thursday and get a split in the series.
Gavin Floyd threw 7 2/3 innings to pick up the win and improve to 11-6 on the year. Great outing by Floyd as he only gave up four hits and the one run. Justin Morneau doubled off Floyd to score a run in the fourth inning and that was the only mistake by Floyd. Bobby Jenks did allow two runs in the ninth inning but at that point it really didn’t matter.
Carlos Quentin and Alexei Ramirez both hit home runs for the Sox. Ramirez’s was a three run shit while Quentin’s was a solo home run. Quentin finished the game with four rbi while Ramirez had three. Jermaine Dye was the only other player to have a rbi in the game as he finished with one.
I will be out of the state for the next couple of weeks and will not be able to blog about the Sox. I was wondering if there was a sox fan out there that would like to write some game recaps for the blog? If you are interested, please email me by clicking the contact us link at the top of the page.
Thanks and go Sox!
