Octavio Dotel gave up a solo home run to Miguel Cabrera in the bottom of the ninth inning and the Detroit Tigers defeated the Chicago White Sox 2-1.  Thursday’s loss to the Tigers was the third straight loss for the White Sox as they were swept in the three game series.  It seems the White Sox play good for a week, and then go into a little slump like they just did.  They just seem to keep the good things rolling.

Dotel took the loss as he gave up the homer in the ninth inning and is now 3-3 on the season.  White Sox starting pitcher Mark Buehrle pitched eight innings and only allowed seven hits and one run in the game.  Buehrle got a no decision, but could have easily earned a win had there been any run support from the offense.

Jermaine Dye had a sacrafice fly in the second inning but that was the only run we seen by the White Sox offense on Thursday.  More times then not, you are going to lose when you only score one run in the game.

The White Sox will now start a interleague series against the Colorado Rockies on Friday.
